The California Community College Economic and Workforce Development initiative is a statewide program focused on providing industry-specific training. The goal of this program is to ensure California has a well-trained and effective workforce. The Community Colleges and other Economic and grant initiatives within the system needed a way in which they could leverage and share existing curriculum resources.
To accomplish this goal, we worked closely with the EWD statewide directors and community colleges to create a centralized curriculum database. This database allows faculty and staff from the 110 California Community Colleges to download and share curriculum with their colleagues throughout the state.
